I am 40 years old, and mother of Ariana Raya (10) and Joray Michelle (8). When off duty, I divide my time between Earth and Bajor, where my daughters live. I'm the meowmy of the very finicky and demanding Elvis.

I read, mostly old literature... CS Lewis, Tolkien, 19th century Earth literature and things of the like. I love music of all kinds. I love to learn languages. I'm conversant in Bajoran, Spanish, and Chinese. I'm strongly interested in other cultures and their arts and literature. I cook a mean lasagna. I practice Wushu, Yang Style Taiji and Qi Gong. Other interests include target shooting and horseback riding.

My "handle" is taken from CS Lewis but also is in memory of my sister, civilian journalist
Dawn Marie Connor, who was killed at Betazed during the Dominion's siege.

I joined as Enlisted at 18. I'm a graduate of the Crewman-to-Admiral 21 program (jokingly called "Crewman to Ensign 21 years" with the other joke being that you usually get forcibly retired before you finish the program) and just this past year, I finished my Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Alpha Centauri.

I just hope that when I die, there are deckplates under my feet and a hyperspanner in my hand.
